Which is the best antivirus ?

which is the best antivirus ?

Which is the best antivirus ?internet security

I must join the masses and say AVG Antivirus is the best- why?

1) it catches viruses!

2) it's 100% free (for personal use)

3) it will update itself

4) you can schedule it for daily scans

5) it will protect your email inbox as well

6) did I mention its Free?

but..with that said, there are many free options out there...I have compiled a list of free antivirus tools and applications...take a look

Also, I see that some folks say Norton is the best but in my experience Norton is a pain in the %26#!!....I had to unistall from a client computer just last week because it was causing "Windows is not geniune" false reports - and trying to turn off Norton while it is installed is not as simple as you think...to sum it up, I like the control of AVG and I always recommend that clients dump Norton and use something a bit less invasive. but that is your decision...

good luck and I hope this helps

I have used AVG Anti Virus, Zone Alarm Firewall, Spy-bot Search and Destroy and Ad Aware both spyware killers for years. They are all free for personal use and I have had no trouble with Viruses Trojans etc. AVG does not slow the system down as much as some other products and Zone Alarm allows a lot of personal configuration unlike the Windows Firewall. They can all be downloaded from the following link. http://www.computeractive.co.uk/... On the home page select downloads and then the appropriate category.I also use Windows Defender from the Microsoft site. It is safe to use two anti-spy products but never use more than one A/V as it can cause conflicts. You should run A/V and anti spy weekly. Hope this helps
