How do you disable temporarily Norton Antivirus?

I have now BT Wireless Total Broadband wihich includes Norton Antivirus.

I have just purchased Kodak Camera. Need to install its software but first how do I disable Antivirus%26gt; The status centre has only ON button

On Line Bt help says there 2 buttons on and off Cant find off

try this

in you system tray double click on the norton av icon this should open up.

in here you should be able to stop the auto protect and any other part you need to stop.

if you forget to switch back on dont worry because it will restart the service when you reboot the system.

Its almost impossible to completely disable norton antivirus, temporarily without uninstalling, but I would suggest that you go to start, run, msconfig, then click the startup tab, look for any program with a norton or symantec folder and then disable those from startup, then reboot and most of the files associated with norton wont boot with the exception of a few background processes.
right click the norton icon in task bar list will come up left click disable norton anti virus window will appear disable for 15minuits or click drop down to increas time.
