their free antivirus software is great. the IT guy where i work even uses it! i've been using it for a few years and had no problems whatsoever. it updates daily, takes up very little in the way of resources. an awesome program!

There are some others out there too, but this one is highly recommended.

The Pack from Google has a couple free tools in too.
like the others said, i constantly run the avg free and manually run the ad aware whenever i like.
