After Installing McAfee Antivirus, my computer restarts after the windows logo screen why does this happen?

Everytime i turn on my computer Window XP it gets to the windows logo screen and then restarts. I can't get it to boot in safe mode or any other mode..The logo screen comes up then a blue screen flashes, and then it restarts and does that over and over. If you have any idea, please help me. Thanks in advance....

There is a problem with windows. It is possible that you had a virus on the system and when it went to run the "boot up" scan it found it, tried to remove it and the file it removed was a Window system file.

Boot off of your XP CD and run the repair option.

I know this is a little late, but don't use McAfee, it will fu(k up your stuff. A Friend thought she could save a couple of $ OOPS she had to take her system in and have it cleaned up. And do not do any AOL they are full of bad things.
Reinstall it and update.

If you can try to disable it when Windows starts. Run - msconfig - Selective Start up - Start up - uncheck the box, restart comp.You'll have to run this program from All programs to feel safe. I suggest to contact McAfee, find their phone N or e-mail address.
