I just installed new antivirus and firewall and internet won't work! HELP?

i just installed avast for antivirus and some firewall forgot the name :p, but now my internet won't work!!! i know for sure im connected to a network and everything, its on my laptop and right now im using my PC anyone know whats wrong? if you need the firewall i can look. thanks!!!

Different firewall has different setting for internet. Normally they need to "recognize" your current active connection and ask your whether you wish to allow the connection. Try Restart your cable/router and see if your firewall shows anything.

Also you should check the firewall website for more help.

if you got windows vists then you need the drivers to get on-line ------ if it is an older laptop then you gotta go in and configure the anti-virus to accept the i-net connection .............
The programs are probably running fine as I have that antivirus as well, your firewall may need setting up correctly as that is what controls what can use your internet connection.

Without knowing what firewall you have we cant really advise you on what to do
Try disabling the firewall or even uninstall the firewall.
