I bought the norton antivirus cd, do i need to subscribe!?

i bought the 2006 v. of norton antivirus original cd... but i cant use live update and its telling me to subscribe, and i have to pay again!!!... is that right?

No! You should not have a problem doing this. If you legally bought the product, then you should have a serial key that it came with. Besides, why would you buy the 06 version when 07 and 08 is out!?

Nevertheless, if you cannot find it and still have your Proof of Purchase contact symantec or return the product to where you purchased it.

how u bought 2006 version ? if u bought illegally then u cant run live update service. and if u bought from their website then u can give them your subscription details and activation code ... it will work ....but i dont think so that its a legal seller who sold you that much old version ..u have just original cd not a license ....
no enter the serial u got and register it ,if u are bought original lisence you should not face a problem and u dont need to pay again
