Ok, if you're not the administrator of the SAV Server, you're not going to be able to update it, period. You didn't specify this in your question though, so I have to assume that you are asking how to update a client and you are the admin. What happens when you are online is the client goes out and grabs the file savup.exe from the Symantec site. Being that you don't have the connection, you need to manually get this file from their site and then place it in your SAV directory on the server (Defaults to C:\Program Files\SAV). That should update the server, which in turn will update the client.



If you only need to update the client, you can put this file or the .vdb file from the Symantec site into the C:\Program Files\Symantec Antivirus directory and restart the "Symantec AntiVirus Definition Service" (I think this is the proper name). It should see the file and make the update on the client.
